You’ve probably heard about AI (artificial intelligence), but could you recognize it if you saw it? Probably not.
First, what is AI?
AI is the development of machines that can perform tasks typically requiring human intelligence. The goal of AI is human-like cognitive processes, like learning from new experiences, reasoning and adapting to new situations. So, is this good or bad?
The advantages of AI include automation of repetitive tasks, optimizing workflow and detecting security threats, but it doesn’t end there. AI can be used by businesses to deliver instant customer support with chatbots and virtual assistants. It is being used to diagnose diseases in the healthcare world. It can aid in scientific research. It can deliver a personalized online experience for users based on their preferences and behaviors. It allows people who speak different languages to communicate. The benefits of AI are changing and expanding every day.
Why are people so reluctant to embrace AI?
Job loss is a big reason. As machines take over tasks previously performed by humans, a rise in unemployment may be seen. AI is trained by data, so if the original information is biased or incomplete, the end result may be incorrect. AI lacks transparency, human intuition and poses its own security risks. It can be complex and expensive to implement.
Today, AI is utilized in various industries around the globe. It is used in marketing, robotics, healthcare, weather forecasting, gaming, agriculture, manufacturing and many more prominent areas.

Obviously, v2 Graphics & Marketing has never been hired by any of these people, but these statements suggest otherwise. So, how can you tell what’s real and what’s AI? You can’t. If you question what you see, do some research, use common sense and DON’T SPREAD information you haven’t confirmed. It is crucial to strike a balance between maximizing AI's potential and minimizing its negative impacts on society.
