Maybe it is, maybe it isn't but we feel it's important to share our strategy and how we apply it to every client.

Understanding Social Media Marketing Strategies

A social media marketing strategy is a plan that outlines goals, tactics to use to achieve them, and the metrics to track to measure success. It helps to stay focused and organized, ensuring that our efforts on social media are effective. Let’s break it down into simple steps.

Key Elements of our Social Media Marketing Strategy
  1. Set Clear Goals
    • What does our client want to achieve? Our clients' goals might include increasing brand awareness, driving traffic to their website, generating leads, or boosting sales.
    • Be specific. Instead of saying “I want more followers,” we encourage goals such as “To receive (fill in the blank) private messages about products/services over the next three months.”
  2. Know Your Audience
    • Who is the customer? Understanding the audience is crucial. We consider their age, gender, location, interests, and online behavior. Sometimes, the audience on social media is not the ideal customer so we strategize how to communicate through them to the target customer. For example, our client may sell hearing aids but their followers are not their target marketing. However, they may be the child of our target customer.
    • Create buyer personas. These are detailed descriptions of the ideal customers, helping us tailor content to their needs and preferences.
  3. Choose the Right Platforms
    • Where does the audience hang out? We focus on Facebook, Instagram and Google but not necessarily all three for our clients. We determine which platform is best.
    • Don’t be everywhere. It’s better to be strong on a few platforms than to have a weak presence on many. That's why we stick with three!
  4. Create Engaging Content
    • Content is king. Social media posts should be interesting, valuable, and relevant to the audience. This can include blog posts, videos, images, info-graphics, and more. We utilize our graphic design skills, website information and feedback from customers and so much more to create content. 
    • Mix it up. We use a variety of content types to keep the audience engaged. For example, we share behind-the-scenes photos, customer testimonials, how-to videos, and industry news just to name a few.
  5. Consistency is Key
    • Post regularly. Consistency helps keep the audience engaged and improves visibility.
    • Maintain a cohesive brand voice. The tone and style should be consistent across all social media channels.  The tone and style is different for each client - the way we communicate for a car repair shop is different than the way we speak to a surgery center's audience.
  6. Engage with the Audience
    • Be responsive. Replying to comments, messages, and mentions promptly shows that the business values the audience and helps build relationships.
    • Encourage interaction. Questions, polls, and interactive content to encourage audience to engage with the posts are all goals of our marketing strategies.
  7. Use Paid Advertising
    • Boost reach. Social media ads can help reach a larger audience and achieve goals faster. While v2 specializes in organic social media, we encourage ads as well. Most platforms offer targeted advertising options based on demographics, interests, and behaviors.
    • Test and optimize. We experiment with different ad formats and targeting options to see what works best. We monitor ad performance and make adjustments as needed.
  8. Track Performance
    • Measure the success. Analytics tools to track key metrics such as engagement, reach, conversions, and ROI (Return on Investment) is one of the key factors to marketing on social media. The insights are provided in real time. That data is invaluable!
    • Adjust the strategy. Based on performance data, we make changes to the strategy to improve results over time.

There you have it!  Our strategy. Honestly, it's not exactly a secret. We like to be transparent with our clients and happy to share our strategy and how we can help.
